Associate Professor of Surgery, Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School
A leading reconstructive plastic surgeon and co-author of the landmark 2018 article “Physicians aren’t burning out—they’re suffering from moral injury.” Dr. Talbot will reflect on what has transpired since the publication, how the concept of moral injury has evolved, and what steps can be taken to support clinicians and advocates at every level of care.

Dr. Sondra S. Crosby, MD, MPH

Professor of Medicine and Public Health, Boston University
A nationally recognized expert in refugee health, trauma, and human rights, Dr. Crosby has evaluated hundreds of survivors of torture and helped shape international protocols for medical documentation. She will present a powerful real-life case study that exemplifies the intersection of trauma, care, and clinician moral distress.
